Hello fabulous Year 4s!
Week 3! We can do this!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I spent it relaxing at home, tidying the house and walking my dog Merlin. Do any of you have dogs that you have been walking? Do you have any other pets? If you do, I bet they are loving you being at home with them. I know Merlin is!
I hope you are all doing well and keeping safe. It is okay to have moments when you feel worried and uncertain about what is going on. Just know that, even though I am not with you in person, I am always here for you virtually. I know some of you now have Purple Mash logins. If you don't and you would like to know yours, please contact the school office. After Easter, I will be setting work for you to complete on there. In the meantime, you can do any activities you choose and it is also a way of contacting me personally via the 2Email so please feel free to message me on there if you wish. I would love to hear from you!
As always, please keep an eye on the ever updated 'Home Learning Links and Ideas' section of our class page. Some new web links have been added including one where you can access eBooks suited to your colour book band. Your parents can then ask you questions about what you have read using the parent guide to support your reading.
As you may have already seen on the Home Learning section, the Year 2,3 and 4 common exception words are available for you to practice using any strategies we have learnt. Your parents have also got a guide to different ways of helping you learn these spellings. There are ALOT of words and you should know how to spell these so this the perfect time to learn any that you don't know or aren't confident with and also find out what words mean if you aren't sure.
Please continue to keep practicing your times tables. Use the mathsfactor website but don't forget about Times Table RockStars also. A tournament has been set up for you! Good luck!
Another lovely idea to do during your time at home is to do the Time Capsule activity that has been put onto the Home Learning section. You will be able to look back at it years from now and think 'Wow, I was part of history!'
It is the last week of Home Learning before the Easter holidays. I know normally everyone would be very excited by that but it is okay if you are feeling worried about what to do for 2 weeks when you can't go anywhere. This week, you will be provided with some Easter themed ideas you can do at home so look out for that! I will still be available during that time if you wish to contact me via Purple Mash on 2Email so please don't feel like I will just be leaving you to it for 2 weeks!
I hope you have a wonderful week. Hopefully by now you will have some sort of routine for the days and I think this is good to have although I do appreciate how difficult that can be so please do not put too much pressure on yourself. Take each day at a time. Do things at your own pace. It might be a nice idea for you to keep a diary of one thing you have done each day that you are proud of. Mine for today would be making Easter cards for my parents with my daughter!
Keep being super! Keep being you!
I will try and message again by the end of the week!
Who are we? Virus Busters!
