On the 21st November 2014, Miss Collins class (in Year One) sat ready and raring to go for their cross curricular assembly on light.
They started off by introducing their topic: bonfire night.
So, why do we celebrate Bonfire night?
They explained to the audience that King James was saved from Guy Fawkes and his friends because they wanted to blow him up.
After that, they did an impressive role play scene of Guy Fawkes getting arrested. It was amazing!!
Then they sang a song. It was Brilliant!
One parent said, “It was an amazing assembly. I am very proud of them!”
Another parent said, “I’ve learnt so much more about bonfire night and Guy Fawkes!”
Two parents stated, “They looked so cute when they were singing their song.”
It looked like they really enjoyed it.
