Developing Social and Emotional Skills

Join in Zoom today with Mrs Lapworth,  we are going to read the story, 'While We Can't Hug'.

After listening to the story can you draw or paint your own rainbow.  Draw a picture of you one side and then ask an adult to help you write your name.  On the other side of the rainbow tell an adult who you miss and ask them to write the names of those people the other side of the rainbow.

Put your rainbow up in your house somewhere where you can see it and think of them, you will see them again soon when it is safe to do so.

Watch the video from our story yesterday.  Then make your rainbow.  If you've made it already then choose someone to call and talk to.

Watch this programme about 'friends'.

What do you think about friends?  Talk about your friends, what do you like to do with your friends?

Last week we read the story of 'Rainbow Fish'.  Can you remember what happened in the story at the beginning?  Was Rainbow Fish a kind fish to his friends?  Why?

What did Rainbow Fish learn about being a good friend?

Finally owned the DVD version of the video I used to own, and figured upload this and the next story as I don't like the potato quality uploads.
