Crisp Packet Recycling!
This year, one of the projects the Eco Warriors will be running is an inter-class, crisp packet collecting competition!
Each class has been provided with a recyclable box, and they have been asked to collect as many crisp packets as possible! Once the box is full, they are to bring it to be checked and approved, before being emptied into a larger container for sorting. Each time the class box is emptied, a point is awarded! The class with the most points at the end of February will receive a prize!
The aim of the recycling project is to collect as many packets as possible, to be sent off to be recycled in an environmentally friendly way. We hope to collect enough packets to be able to 'up-cycle' them into a bench for our playground!
To make the challenge even better, for every 8KG of crisp packets we recycle, 1000 'points' are awarded to a charity of our choice, which can be converted into cash funds for the charity to use and distribute! Our Chosen charity for this term is 'The Boot Fund', so please help your children by sending in any crisp packets from home that could be added to their class box, and help them be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize!
