|6GS Assembly 2.10.15|
|On 13th November 2015, 6SG had their first class assembly, which was set out different to normal assemblies.
The other key stage 2 classes were seated and ready to watch the show, looking at the front of the hall. However 4 children ran into the hall and into the area that was hidden from view. They explained that, in World War 2, people had to run into Anderson shelters or a community centre for their safety. After that they acted what it would be like when you were evacuated.
After that they started the actual assembly and they explained what year 6 did in their theme (thematic) lessons. They had recreated art work created by an artist called Earnest Boye Uden who painted the general view of the city after the bombing. It is on show at the Herbert Art Gallery. They showed their piece of artwork.

After that they talked about English Topic. At the end, they did a quiz to see if the people in the hall were actually listening
