Year 1 pupils at Stoke Primary School have been very busy making giant 3D dinosaurs as part of an art project for their ‘Jurassic Forrest’ themed topic.

The children spent lots of time collecting various items of junk at home to bring into school and recycle them into the giant dinosaur structure.

To make the different parts of the dinosaur, the children were split into teams and worked together to model each section; using masking tape to join the bits of recycled material together.

To finish the dinosaur, paper mache was used to coat the structure and the pupils voted on what colour to paint the finished structures, with blue and green as the most popular choices.

A school spokesman said: “The children loved creating the dinosaurs which have been proudly displayed in the main entrance of the school for all to see.”
