Coventry City of Culture 2021

Down Our Street

As part of the exciting work we are doing around our bid to become City of Culture 2021, we would like you to get involved!

We are currently running a competition for all the city’s budding young photographers and film makers. Even if you’ve never taken a photo or shot a film before it doesn’t matter! We would like you to submit a photo or a film (one minute max) of your street – the street that you live on. What the photo or film has in it is entirely up to you. What you use to take the photo or record the film is up to you as well – digital camera, smart phone, tablet – whatever.

There are four age groups for each category (photo and film) - 7-11 years, 12-14 years, 14-18 years and 18-21 years.

The prize will be the opportunity to take part in an amazing experience day at Coventry University, working in their photography and T.V Studios.

The judges will be local photographers Jason Tilley and Ben Kyneswood, Paul Smith Principal Lecturer in Photograph at Coventry University and David Burbidge Chair of the Coventry City of Culture Trust.

Entrants must live in Coventry and be within the submitted age group on the date of 28th April 2017.

Photographs and film may be submitted in any format and can be delivered to the Coventry City of Culture Trust Offices 120-124 Far Gosford Street or emailed to Jen Marscheider Jen.Marscheider@coventry2021.co.uk. All entries must be clearly labelled with your name, age and contact details.

Closing date is 2nd June 2017. Winners will be announced on 16th June 2017.
